Benque Viejo Police have recovered a home-made firearm. Yesterday afternoon at a few minutes to four, a patrol team responded to the report of shots being fired at the water pump area. Police arrived to find three men at an unfinished cement home; the group included a 15 year old minor. One of them threw something out of the window when police pulled up. When the object was retrieved, it turned out to be a home-made firearm comprising a piece of iron shaped like a pistol, banded up with electrical tape with smoke streaming out the barrel. Inside a bag police found 32 pellets and three igniters.
21 year old Julio Portillo, 23 year old Marlon Jimenez and a 15 year old have been detained.
