Teen Loses Finger in Machete Fight

A teenaged year old resident of Santa Elena, Cayo lost a finger to a machete last night. Around 10:30 18 year old Edgar Mayorga was walking on George Price Boulevard when he was approached by Carlos Vasquez who was riding a bicycle. Seems they’d had a previous misunderstanding and Vasquez – who is only 19 – pulled out a machete and struck his hand, severing his right ring finger. Police have detained Carlos Vasquez pending charges.
