He allegedly jacked jewelry from a 50 year old vendor this morning but that wasn’t 21 year Lionel Baizar’s mistake. His mistake was wearing the stolen jewelry less than an hour after he stole it. His alleged victim is 50 year old Elida Sabio – a food vendor. She told police that at about 5:30 this morning she was at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Arlington Drive when a clear skinned man grabbed her and placed a gun at her neck.
Her assailant then stole her gold earring, a gold heart shaped earring, a gold bracelet, and a $50 gold knob earring – all totaling $445. The man then fled and she called police.
On her way to the police station, she sighted him. Police pounced oh him and found the earrings in his pocket but better than all that – he was sporting the stolen bracelet on his hand. He pleaded not guilty in court and was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until April 3rd.
