Two men were shot on Friday on the Calla Creek Road – and it sounds a lot like another attack of the cross border bandits, but San Ignacio Police say they are investigating the incident from all angles. According to authorities, they do not know if thirty eight year old Moises Xis and twenty year old Miguel Xis were victims of armed bandits or if they were the intended targets of the attack that occurred on Friday afternoon.

Initial investigations reveal that around twelve fifteen, the Xis brothers were travelling in a Toyota pickup truck but at reaching mile five on the Calla Creek Road three armed masked men believed to be Hispanics and holding short arm shotguns and a pump action gun came from out of the bushes and fired several shots at the oncoming vehicle.

The Xis brothers managed to get away but not without injury. Moises was hit in his left leg, right foot and left side of his shoulder while Miguel received two gun shot wounds to his left hand just above his elbow. San Ignacio Police say they have no suspects at this time.
