A twenty four year old accused of having sex with a thirteen year old minor almost eight months ago was today remanded to Hattieville Prison. The man is Secundino Cho, a construction worker from Burrell Boom. In the company of her father the minor told the Family Violence Unit that in September of 2008 Cho had sex with her. The child was examined and the test showed that she had been carnally known and was also injured.
This morning when Secundino Cho appeared before Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie he was arraigned on the charges of unlawful carnal knowledge and grievous harm. Because the matter is indictable, no plea was taken.
Twenty four year old Secundino Cho will remain behind bars until his next court appearance on May twentieth but Cho can apply for bail with the assistance of an attorney at the Supreme Court level.
