Chinese Man Charged for Murder Pleads Down

In March, 42 year old Yiong Sheng Zhang was charged for murdering his own countryman, fellow Chinese Businessman Chi Cheong Chang. At the time, it appeared to be a remorseless killing as Zhang went to Chang’s business-place, the Aluminum and Glass Shop at mile three and a half on the Northern Highway, and shot him and his wife, Ivy. She survived, but Chang died days later.

Today in court, Zhang pleaded guilty to the lesser change of manslaughter when he appeared before Justice Michelle Arana. He will be sentenced on August 12TH.

And that’s not the end of it as he still faces a charge of attempted murder for shooting Chang’s wife.
