We don’t how long trouble was brewing between a couple and the woman’s ex common law husband but tonight he is in a critical condition while the woman’s boyfriend is being sought by police. Police report that the woman, a domestic from San Andres Village in the Corozal District told them that just after midnight last night she was walking along with her boyfriend when they were approached by her ex common law husband, thirty three year old Edgar Chan, a resident of the same village.
An argument reportedly started between the men and it was during this time that the boyfriend pulled out a three eighty pistol and shot the ex common law husband several times. Edgar Chan received bullet wounds to his chest, abdomen and right foot. Chan is reportedly in a critical condition at the Northern Regional Hospital
As for the boyfriend, he remains on the run.
