Hold ups, burglary and robberies are on the rise, and everyone’s a target: businesses and just regular folks. Police are reporting two more incidents tonight. Ladyville businessman Guo Qun Chen told police he was at his business, Chen Store, when three men, dressed in white t–shirts carrying firearms stormed in and demanded money. Chen complied by handing over an undisclosed amount of cash. The men then left the premise but as they were leaving one of them fired a shot in his direction, luckily the bullet missed. Police have detained no one and still uncertain just how much money was taken from the businessman.

Meanwhile in the Cayo District, a salesman from Belmopan Andre Mahmud told police that while he was making a delivery in Roaring Creek Village he was held up by three men wearing masks over their heads. One of the men was armed with a firearm and they snatched a bag that a nine milimeter Glock pistol and an undisclosed amount of cash. Again police have no leads in this case.
