They did not raise the amount of money they needed to help Southside primary schools with a breakfast programme for its students but nevertheless the Concerned Belizean Women group plans to donate at least one thousand dollars in cash to the schools feeding programme. While it was a group of adult women who organized the event it was children themselves who actually made it all happen. There were seven girls between the ages of eight and eleven years old who vied for the title. From what we gathered the young participants all did a very good job but in all such events there can only be one winner. And the representative from Cayo could not hide her emotions as her name was announced.
And while the winner ten year old Shantay Zetina took home her crown, trophy and a thousand dollars in cash her competitors did not leave the stage empty handed. First runner up, Miss Ambergris Caye nine year old Keana Flowers received seven hundred and fifty dollars, second runner up and Miss Belize nine year old Myiesha Robateau who was also chosen Miss Princess took home five hundred and fifty dollars. All the remaining contestants received gifts.
