Ernest Vasquez Pleads Guilty to Theft

39 year old Ernest Vasquez will spend one year in prison for stealing a seat out of his neighbour’s car. His neighbour on Euphrates Avenue Lisa Green says that on Tuesday at 12:30 she heard her dogs barking and when she looked outside – she saw Vasquez jumping over her fence.

She says that when she checked her Ford Escort which was parked in the yard, the backseat was missing. Vasquez was detained by police on Friday and while they didn’t recover the stolen seat – they charged him with theft.

He pleaded guilty in court today and was sentenced to a year in prison. The car seat was valued at $1,200.
