A circus is in town and today one of the trainers for its 8 tigers was charged in court. 30 year old Mexican national Hugo Saragoza was charged with harm for an incident that occurred Tuesday evening on the City Center compound.

Guatemalan national Elmer Arevallo, also employed at the circus, told police that around 7 that evening Saragoza approached him and asked for his passport. There was an exchange of words between the two and that’s when Arevallo says Saragoza punched him several times in the chest. Saragoza said it hurt and was treated at the KHMH. A doctor classified the injury as harm.

Today Saragoza pleaded guilty to the charge in court and Magistrate Sharon Frazer fined him $500 which he paid forthwith.
