Mario Chi’s common law wife’s ex-husband did it. That is who police say shot and killed 30 year old Mario Chi on Sunday night inside his home in Santa Elena Town. Cayo police have since arrested and charged 40 year old David Uk along with a female – 21 year old Seidi Salazar with murder.
Both are residents of Benque. But more importantly, David Uk is Anna Uk’s ex-husband. He had allegedly threatened Mario Chi who is Anna’s new boyfriend. The family says they received a threatening phone call from David Uk the day before the murder.
The murder occurred on Sunday night just after the family had finished supper. A red-skinned short young man entered the home and opened fire on Mario Chi. He was shot in the shoulder. The gunman then fled into a white car that was parked nearby.
Police aren’t saying what role Seidi Salazar played but they do have a third suspect still detained.
