19 year old David Flowers also won’t be home for Christmas and that is because today he began serving a two year sentence for ammunition and drug possession. Flowers along with Hosni Thurton, Alicia Sosa, and Lloyd Jones were busted at 12:30 am on Tuesday in a house in Belama Phase Three. Police say that in searching the house – they found 78.4 grams of cannabis in a kitchen cupboard and 50 live rounds of.32 ammunition in a bedroom. Police report that Hosni Thurton’s ID was found in the box with the ammunition.

All four were charged for drug trafficking but when Flowers pled guilty, the charges against the other three were withdrawn. Flowers pleaded down to the lesser charge of drug possession and Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie sentenced Flowers to 18 months in prison for it. She sentenced him to two years for the ammunition. The sentences will run currently so Flowers will spend 2 years in jail.
