An 18 year old Gwen Lizarraga High School student was today charged for allegedly stabbing a man. Police say that Mark Usher Jr. stabbed 20 year old Jeovanni Abraham on Wednesday night. Abraham told police he was standing at the corner of Faber’s Road and Dykes Road when he got into an argument with usher. Abraham says that is when usher pulled out a sharp object and stabbed in the abdomen.
Usher was arraigned in court for dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. Magistrate Sharon Frazer took no pleas because both matters are indictable. Usher was offered and met bail of $5,000. His case was adjourned to March 4th.
Mark Usher Jr. says that he stabbed Jeovanni Abraham in self-defense. He claims that Abraham and his father were trying to force him into a car. He says it was related to an incident earlier on Wednesday in which usher was in physical altercation with a relative of Geovanni Abraham.
