Another man accused of being a habitual criminal was taken before the court today. Two weeks ago, Eugene Tillett was taken to court was taken to court and charged with burglar after he and another man were allegedly seen running out of Auto Zone with the alarm ringing. He was charged for burglary and received bail.

But then one week later on January 21st, Patrick Garbutt alleged that the recently bailed Eugene Tillett robbed him of jewellery and a cell phone at gunpoint. It happened at 2:30 in the morning at the corner of Euphrates Avenue and Dean Street. And then two days ago on the 27th January, there was an attempted burglary at La Popular Tortilla Factory on Vernon Street and Police fingered the same Eugene Tillett as the key suspect.

He was caught shortly after and today went to court charged with attempted burglary for the La Popular incident and robbery for the hold-up a week ago. He pleaded not guilty to both offences. But because the robbery was committed with a firearm he was automatically remanded to prison.
