A 19 year old male is tonight in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital on life support after he was shot yesterday by a 12 year old girl. Ahmad Nah was shot in Camalote Village with a pellet gun. The pellet struck him on the left side of his forehead and penetrated his head and is still lodged inside his head. Nah is on life support and his family is hoping for the best but doctors have told them to prepare for the worse. His mother Diana Nah and his father Theodore Nah aren’t sure what happened but are appealing for prayers.

“We don’t know so we are just like everybody else. We don’t know what happened, we just found out that our son got shot with a pellet gun. We don’t know who did it, where it happened, and how it happened. We don’t.”

“A friend’s house.”

“Unconfirmed reports say another child but for certain I can’t say who.”

“What have the doctors been telling you?”
Theodore Nah,
“The doctors say his critical and his chance of living is like 5% because the pellet penetrated his brain and is lodged in his brain somewhere.”
Diana Nah,
“I just want everybody out there, Ahmad’s friends, to pray for him so he recovers.”
Keith Swift,
“So he was playing a friend’s house?”
Diana Nah,
“He always goes and hangs out at their house because he is that type of friendly person, here and there helping people so that is about Ahmad, a friendly person.”
Keith Swift,
“And again you don’t know who shot him?”
Diana Nah,
“I don’t know. I just got the phone that my son had been shot and I tried to reach as quick as I could.”
Theodore Nah,
“We are asking for prayers because miracles do happen so from my point of view I think he can survive because he is a strong guy. I just want the Belizean public to keep on praying for Ahmad, even if you don’t know him, just pray, his name is Ahmad. Before you go to sleep tonight pray for him.”
Diana Nah,
“Same thing just keep him in prayer please everybody countrywide because he needs a lot of prayers.”
Belmopan Police wouldn’t discuss the case and say that no formal police report has been made. Again the shooter is believed to be 12 years old. The family says their only concern now is on their son’s eventual recovery of which again doctors say the chances are slim.
