Three persons including an 11 year old boy were shot this evening on West Canal. It occurred around 6 pm near the corner with Rocky Road – through what some call Bradley’s Alley. Witnesses tell us that a man pulled up on a bicycle with a red rag over his face –entered the alley and started firing.
More than ten shots were fired and when it was over – 11 year old Aaron young – a student attending Grace Primary School had been shot in the hand, 17 year old Jermaine Lopez had been shot, and 13 year old student at James Garbutt Primary School identified to us only as Christy had been grazed. Lopez and young were rushed to the hospital. Police are still on the scene collecting shells. We’ll have more on this developing story in tomorrow’s newscast.
