And while Barrow is convinced otherwise based – we must add – on a second hand account – he feels the even greater injustice is that when he went to work this morning – after being released from detention yesterday – they were ready to fire him.
Emmanuel Barrow,
“When I reached at the account lady I told her Miss I came turn this in and that I wanted to know if unu will reimburse me for my cell phone and the things they jacked from me;, my watch, and even my lighter I wanted them to pay me back my $48 out of my pocket. So now the lady said hold on Mr. Barrow all I got information for was to give you your letter of termination. I said my letter of what, I said I hope that letter of termination includes my reimbursement for what I robbed from me. When I finally became aware that they are terminate after my ordeal and my injuries I got furious. I got furious. So I said what on top unu done punk me, CIB let me go and arrest me and now unu wah terminate me when I am on sick leave.”
Jules Vasquez,
“So where exactly does it stand right now?”
Emmanuel Barrow,
“With me?”
Jules Vasquez,
“Yes have you been terminated?”
Emmanuel Barrow,
“Well I guess I will get terminated after this interview because I am doing it for my fellow prison officers who are being taken advantage. Then my fellow prison officers are telling me don’t make those people bribe you off with a little money and turn you around because we need something like this for the public to become aware of the advantage being taken of prison officers. You know what it is to make $185.50 and the watch psychotic murders in Supermax and that is me right here.”
Barrow says that the security tapes which can exonerate him have to his knowledge still not been reviewed.
