Police: “Big Tug” Stabbed Figueroa 11 Times

26 year old fisherman Raymond Meyers, known as Big Tug was taken to court today where he was arraigned for the murder of 27 year old Francis Figueroa.

Meyers was remanded until June 24th. Police say he stabbed Figueroa 11 times in a fight on Friday evening on Vernon Street. Figueroa was stabbed one time to the left side of his chest, 6 times in the upper left side of his back, 1 time in his upper lip, one time in the left cheek, and once to his left elbow.

Several persons were reportedly involved in the stabbing, but they have not been detained.
