A 63 year old who stabbed a 17 year old in the chest because the teenager was harassing him for money is out of jail tonight after 9 months on remand. It happened on September 23, 2009 on Cemetery Road when Gerald Westby stabbed Conrad Gusman. An eyewitness reported that Gusman was trying to rob Westby. For his part, Westby told police that he stabbed Gusman but he did so because the 17 year old frequently harassed him for money and he was tired of it. Gusman was nearly killed by the injury and for a few days there, he was in critical condition. But Westby was not acquitted of the crime. He was cleared of the charges of attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm because the case file was not available after several requests were made for it.
