22 year old Michael Foreman who is currently remanded to prison on a charge of murder, has beaten a number of cases in the past when he was charged with robbery, theft, and handling stolen goods. But he was not able to beat a charge of attempted robbery at trial today. It happened at around 6:45 pm on April 11th, 2009. 26 year old Angela Thompson testified against him saying that she was walking on Newtown Barracks near the Mexican Embassy when Foreman rode up behind her on a bicycle and ripped her gold chain. Her chain then fell into her clothes, and she began to scream as the struggle continued. Fortunately, Inspector Llewleyn Usher was passing by, pulled out his firearm and detained Foreman. Foreman gave a statement from the dock saying that he would have pleaded guilty, if the charge was attempted robbery.
