When we ended the news last night, we told you about a city shooting resulting in another murder - the fifth in a week. At the time all we knew was that the victim was a man who worked on King Street. We hadn't learned that it was Burton Young, the well-known DVD salesman from King's Music and DVD's.

Now, Young is no kind of "trouble man"; the 31 year old is known as man who is always working. But last night at ten past 7:00, it was a case of wrong place, wrong time, as gunshots rained down. Monica Bodden was on the scene shortly after.

Monica Bodden, Reporting
The shutters of most businesses on Orange Street were pulled down early last night as CIB officers processed another murder scene. These yellow markers show the number of expended shells that lay around on the street. It paints a vivid picture as to what happened in front of this Gacho Shop which was crowded with customers who gathered outside.

At approximately 7:30 last night this usually crowded Street was almost empty. As the few who remained looked on from behind the yellow caution tape. 30 year old Burton Young was shot and killed last night in front of this Food Shop on Orange Street.

Today this spot of blood on the side of the walkway marks the spot where he dropped.

Teddy Grant - Employer
"He did not deserve it, he doesn't trouble anybody, and he doesn't mess around with anybody."

Young was an employee of Teddy's Music and DVD on King Street and was well known by those who frequent the store for his jovial attitude and unique style of salesmanship.

He had just left work about 6:30 yesterday evening to go buy food.

Teddy Grant - Employer

"He was at the shop a bit earlier around 6:30 and he went to buy food. I had just left the shop like about 15 minutes before and when I reach home I got a call saying that one of my workers was shot. Apparently he was just waiting for his turn to pick up his food and this just happened, maybe he was at the wrong place at the wrong time."

Burton Young was shot to the left side of his chest which exited through the right side of his back.

Teddy Grant - Employer
"I was the first one there; I live right near the hospital, I reach there quickly to see if it was him, because I did not believe that he got shot. When I reach there it was just rough to see him laying there with bullet holes. It was not something that I was expecting."

Twenty eight year old Clifford Morrison was also shot in his leg last night. He was released from the hospital sometime today.

According to Police, Young and Morrison were standing in front of K's Fast Food on Orange Street when a man on a bicycle who was wearing a black rag over his face took out a handgun and began firing shots towards them. From what we gathered, Morrison may have been the target.

Teddy Grant - Employer
"I understand that 2 people passed and start shooting at a crowd of people, so we don't know who they were targeting. Mr Young is not the person that troubles anyone, when he has his financial problems he come and talks to me. Me being his friend and his boss, he always tells me his problems and I help him out in whatever way I could. He didn't tell me he had any beef with anybody. Knowing him, he would rather run home and stay out of trouble."

30 year old Burton Young leaves behind his two daughters - one -two years old and the other only 11 months old.

Gloria Teul - Mother- in- law

"He is a good person, he is not a trouble person. He doesn't give trouble and he loves his kids. He has his common-law-wife and 2 kids that he left behind and it's so sad."

Monica Bodden
"When you got the news how was it for you?"

Gloria Teul - Mother- in- law
"I couldn't believe it because he is not somebody that would go out. He reach home every evening with my daughter and the 2 kids because he is not a trouble maker, he doesn't have any problems, everyone knows him as a good person, so everybody will miss him right now."

Teddy Grant - Employer
"This gentleman doesn't mess with anybody, he is well known here, he is not somebody that looks for trouble. Everything for him is his kids and his family so he did not deserve to go like this."

Today this black bow was placed at Teddy's Music and DVD Store - as his co-workers mourn his death.

Teddy Grant - Employer
"We come in this morning and just shed a tear, its rough."

Monica Bodden
"The crime situation is out of hand here."

Teddy Grant - Employer
"Very out of hand."

Monica Bodden
"You think that this man life just went senselessly."

Teddy Grant - Employer
"Senselessly because he doesn't deserve it. He doesn't trouble anybody."

Monica Bodden
"Do you think he deserves justice?"

Teddy Grant - Employer
"Definitely, more than justice."

One person has been detained for questioning. We note that the general area he was shot in has been the scene of over a dozen shootings in the past 5 years - and this is the second fatal shooting in less than half a year.
