When Stephen Eggy Grant was gunned down on North Creek Road in July of last year, his dead body lay in the street for an hour - and hundreds went out to watch the victim of a broad daylight killing.

But yesterday, 21 year old Shain Louriano, one of two persons charged with the murder of 18 year old Stephen "Eggy" Grant, was freed of the charge when it was withdrawn in the number one Magistrate's court on a directive from the Director of Public Prosecutions, Cheryl Vidal.

The charge was withdrawn due to insufficient evidence. The charge against the second defendant, Rasheed Woods, still stands however. Woods is to return to court on August 31st, for a preliminary inquiry. Neither of the two men was represented by an attorney.
