And while we would have wished to have ended on that slight up-note - the daily police report which is just in to our news room details a hunting accident which took the life of a teenager in the village of Medina Bank - in the Toledo District. 18 year old Cesar Cak was shot by his brother, 25 year old Ricardo Cak.
The brothers left home on Tuesday night the 21st December, to a pasture two miles east of Medina Bank Village and were hunting a Jaguar that they believed was killing their Chicken, Ducks, Pigs and Cattle.
Six hours later, at about 4:00am the next morning, the brothers saw the Jaguar and advanced on him, but the cat ran in the bushes. The brothers set chase down trails and Cesar - who carried the flashlight - was accidentally shot the chest and abdomen area by his older brother. He died on the spot.
