Explosive Scare In Spanish Lookout

There was an explosive scare in the Spanish Lookout area today but thankfully it turned out to be much ado about nothing. Word went out hard and fast early this afternoon that an explosive device resembling a hand grenade had been found near Route 25.

Police cordoned off the area and waited for the BDF bomb expert who confirmed that it was harmless. The device had already been detonated and only the shell was left. According to a police, it is the type of device used by the British Forces in training. They speculate that the shell was possibly picked up somewhere and thrown in the area where it was seen….
