Two men, 24 year old Leo Palacio, Jr. and 24 year old Glenford Miller, Jr. were charged with the attempted murder of 22 year old George Carr, Jr., when they appeared today in the number 5 Magistrate's court. Palacio and Miller were also charged with grievous harm and use of deadly means of harm. They were automatically remanded until February 23rd because of the nature of the offences.

The incident occurred around 3 A.M. on New Year's Eve. Carr reported to the police that he was on Cemetery road near its junction with Elston Kerr street when he was attacked and stabbed in the right side of his neck and left cheek. Police said they interviewed Carr at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and Carr identified Palacio and Miller as his assailants.

Police also said a relative of Carr gave them a broken knife with blood stains on it, which they believe was used in the stabbing.
