A string of shots were fired last night at around 8:30 in front of ITVET on Freetown Road in Belize City. Best reports indicate that it was an attempted robbery - and it seems the would-be victim fired the gun to fend off his attackers.
No one was hurt, but much panic was generated in the area which is not accustomed to gun play. Police briefly blocked off the area looking for suspects.
