On September 22 of 2010 - thirty two year old Abdul Theus was shot in the face on Gibnut Street - when he got into an argument with another man who pulled out a 9 millimeter pistol and fired 6 shots.

Theus was hit to the right side of his face, his right wrist, right shoulder and right lower back. He was considered lucky to be alive despite being shot multiple times at close range.

But that luck started to run out in January of this year when he was readmitted to ward at the KHMH suffering from bedsores. Last week Friday, he died. A post mortem found that it was septic shock - due to multiple organ failure caused by those same bedsores - which all started with the gunshot wounds - which, we presume, left him immobilized.
