Less than an hour after that murder, police were called out to the corner of Fairweather and Waight streets.
Coming right after the murder, was it retaliation? That's what we asked Yearwood:
Sgt. Fitzroy Yearwood
"Apparently he was out there with some friends. He was standing in front of his home, when a lone gunman walked up to them, opened fire on them, and he was apparently hit in the right arm, causing a fracture. He was transported to KHMH, were doctors said that it wasn't life-threatening, but he was admitted to ward for further treatment."
Marion Ali, Love News
"That shooting happened less than an hour after the murder; are they linked?"
Sgt. Fitzroy Yearwood
"Well, like I said, after establishing the motive, we will then be able to determine whether or not they are related. But what I can tell you is that we have persons in custody concerning both the murder and that shooting incident."
