William Raindrops Swan - is a big name in the city, partly for his reputation and partly for the company he keeps…he's been known to socialize at Brad's, a popular hangout for UDP politicos.
But, it seems neither reputation nor connections could save him today when the Gang Suppression Unit descended on his home at mile one on the Northern Highway.
In an intensive search of his home that lasted from 4:30 to 10:30 am, the GSU found various stashes of marijuana, a magazine for a nine millimeter pistol and a stash of US and Belizean currency.
The cash totaling 15 thousand, seven hundred and fifteen dollars, along with a magazine for a nine millimeter pistol was found inside his bedroom.
Then police searched his daughter Christie's bedroom where they found 175 grammes of cannabis. Searching the lower flat, where James Swan Jr. resides, they found 12 grammes of cannabis. All five persons were taken in and charged with various offences. Sawn, who is 53, was charged with kept firearm without a gun license - even though he only had a clip. He pleaded not guilty, but because ti is a firearm offence, he was remanded until May 18.

The interesting part is that Swan does have a licensed weapon, but police say this is not the clip for that weapon. In court he said that he is the license holder for the weapon that clip[ is used for. Kristy Swan was charged with drug trafficking for the 175 gramms of cannabis found in her room. She pleaded not guilty and was released on bail of five thousand dollars.
James Swan Jr. and his girlfriend, Nicole Rodriguez was charged with possession for the 12 grams found in the lower flat. Rodriguez pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined three hundred dollars.
And as for the cash, SWAN Sr. and his wife Bernadette SWAN were assessed by Income tax and as a result 50% of the money, $BZ 7,857.00 found was withheld for government coffers.
