


And while that happened on Sunday afternoon, that same morning, the GSU searched a home at 102 George Street where they found about one and a half pounds of marijuana in three black plastic bags in the downstairs of the two storey residence. Five persons were later for the offence of "Drug Trafficking" and today the group including 26 year old paraplegic Brenton Lewis, were charged with 3 counts of drug trafficking when they appeared today in the Magistrate's Court.
The other 4 are 25 year old Brian Herrera, 27 year old Caril Smith, 21 year old Earl Reynard and 49 year old Norma Reynard - the mother of Brian Herrera. They pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser offered each of them a bail of 7 thousand dollars and adjourned their case until June 9. The police reported that they found 245 grams of cannabis in a bag tied to a wooden louver of one of the windows. A third bag which contained 78 grams of cannabis was found inside the bathroom.
