He was found with a security guard's gun and Twenty six year old Bryant Gentle will go to jail for it. Gentle who was charged with keeping a firearm and ammunition without a gun license, was found guilty of the charges today in the #8 Magistrate's court.
Gentle was sentenced to 2 years for each count with and the sentences are to run concurrently. The charges were for one.38 revolver with 5 rounds of ammunition which was stolen from NHI security guard, Paul Valerio at the corner of Regent street and Rectory Lane on September 23rd, 2010. Valerio was held up at knife point and the.38 revolver was stolen from him.
Gentle was detained shortly afterwards just a block form our studios when the police arrived at the scene and saw him throw the firearm. Gentle had also been charged with robbery and wounding but those charges were withdrawn when Valerio did not appear in court to testify.
