Marva Welch, one of five persons charged in connection with the Orange Walk Heritage Bank heist in which two hundred and two thousand dollars was stolen, was released on a bail of five thousand dollars today.
The bail was granted by Justice Adolph Lucas after Welch's attorney Dickie Bradley, made an application to the Supreme Court. The other four, however, are still remanded into custody. They are Ricky Valencio, his brother BDF soldier Harold Valencio, Samantha Carlos and Noel usher. They were remanded into custody until May 19.
The four were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and Ricky Valencio, one of two men who allegedly attempted to kill attorney Rodwell Williams, was charged with robbery.
Welch was charged with handling stolen goods for one thousand, two hundred dollars which the police allege they found her with and which they believe was part of the proceeds of the crime.
