Last night we told you about 19 year old Shamir Gonzalez who was murdered in Orange Walk in a school yard brawl that got out of hand.

Well now two standard six students aged 13 and 15 have been charged for abetment to commit murder while a 17 year old has been charged for the murder. 20 year old Adoni Jah was also charged for abetment. The 15, 17, and 20 year old are brothers. Due to the nature of the crime, the four were not granted bail and are presently detained by police. There next court date is scheduled for the 31 of this month.

Shamir Gonzalez was killed inside the Louisiana Government school compound in Orange Walk Town - after he and his brother got into an altercation with two of the students. Three young men saw what was happening and joined in the fight. One of them allegedly stuck Gonzalez to the back of his neck with a piece of pipe. Gonzalez died on the spot.

A post mortem examination was conducted on the body of Shamir Gonzalez yesterday which indicated that the young man died due to acute lung failure and trauma caused by the blow.

The 2 standard 6 minors were granted permission by the Magistrate to sit their PSE on Monday - except they do so with the offence of abetment to murder hanging over their heads.
