You may remember Anne Bradley - one of those Good Friday funeral goers who lashed out at police - after being stopped and searched by police while returning from Avondale "Hogbone" Trumbach's funeral.
Well today the young woman stopped by our studios because she says - ever since that episode- police have constantly been harassing her. According to Bradley, she is accusing the police of planting 6.8 grams of cannabis on her property.
Anne Bradley, Claims Police Harassment
"I've been harassed constantly by the police and I do not like it because now, it's getting more serious. They came yesterday at my house and they charged me for something that they planted on me. And I think that I need justice. First of All, no one is at my house. It was only my kids and me, and when they came there, they rushed into my house - I was sitting down. The police woman came in, and when she came in - first Benguche came in. When he came in, I asked him what the problem was. So he watched me, and he just walked back out. When he walked out, the policewoman came in, and she asked me if I had anything on me; I told her no. She asked where I was going right at that moment, and I told her that I was going to the minister to see him right now. So she told me that she was searching for drugs and guns. I told her that these searches are constantly happening and there are no drugs here. So I left them to do their search, because I know in my heart that nothing will be found. After she searched my room, they forced me to go outside, and when I did that that, this other police officer was standing by my fence behind my house. And he told the female police officer to go an search by the fence. He asked her to take me by the fence. So I went with her; I didn't think anything. He told her to search on the top of the fence; she pulled out a bag, a zip lock bag with a little bit of weed in it. She showed me what she found, so I told her that I swear to God it's not mine. I told them, 'It has to be one of you because you already surrounded my yard. Why now, will you find this; why would I endanger myself like that?' That's what I told them yesterday. I told them they have the rights to charge me and take me in; I told them that as soon as they released me, I was going to the media."

"So you were charge for how much grams of cannabis?"
Anne Bradley
"6.8 grams of cannabis."
Monica Bodden
"You believe that you are being targeted especially after what happened when you guys were coming back from Hogbone's funeral?"
Anne Bradley
"Yes Ma'am, I think that it's not fair because that doesn't have anything to do with us. It's just that we don't think that it was right any at all for the police to be targeting us - harassing us - knowing that we didn't have anything. We were only funeral people coming from coming from a funeral. How could they do that to us? And because I spoke out for my rights, I am constantly harassed by them now. This is why I'm here again because everyone needs to know that the police are dirty; they're doing so many things that people don't want to say because they don't know where they will stand or how they will be. Since yesterday when I saw that the came and they pinned those drugs on me, I know how serious the police can be."
Additionally, on April 29, Anne Bradley was arrested and charged for Possession of Controlled Drugs and Possession of Communication Apparatus without a license - which is a handheld radio.
