A 22 year old will go to jail for 7 years after he burglarized a home.

Twenty two year old Kenroy Young an unemployed residing at 56 Regent Street who burglarized the house of Edward P Yorke vice principal 48 year old Josephine Flowers, was sentenced to 7 years today by Magistrate Emmerson Banner after he pleaded guilty to burglary.

Flowers, who resides at 19 Pickstock Street, reported to the police that the burglary occurred between Sunday, May 8 and Friday May 13. She said the items that were stolen included jewelry, one digital camera and one blank cheque. But Young was only charged for the camera and the blank cheque. According to reports, Young was detained by police on Friday, May 13, when he tried to cash a forged cheque at Public's Supermarket on the Northern Highway. Flowers said that there were no signs of forced entry and she believes that Young entered her house by making a copy of a key she left downstairs.
