Activist Moses Sulph was terminated in April without any explanation. His supporters in the activist and union community have claimed political victimization - since Sulph publicly protested a number of government policies.
But the auditor general has a different opinion. 7news has seen a report from that office titled "Embezzlement - Moses Sulph data entry clear, one thousand six hundred and ten dollars."
The report which we were only allowed to skim and photograph briefly makes the case that as a clerk involved with marriage licenses, fraudulent activities were performed with receipts which resulted in the loss of one thousand six hundred dollars to government.
The auditor general has suggested that the matter be taken to police. We understand it has been sent to the DPP for further instruction.
Sulph today told us that he has not seen the report but was aware of irregularities which he says he could not have had any part in and which preceded his arrival at the office.
