Last night we told you about the fate of 53 year old taxi driver Romel Palacio Sr - who was shot six times by home invaders who were looking to kill his son who is a witness in an upcoming trial.

But, the only encouraging news is that police were quick to respond to the scene and found a suspected witness in the area and the alleged murder weapon.

Today, 2 persons, 28 year old Ashton Anderson and 18 year old Christopher Sosa, were charged with the attempted murder of Palacio Sr. when they appeared today in the Magistrate's Court. Anderson and Sosa were also charged with dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm.

Anderson, Sosa and a 17 year old student of Gwen Lizarraga High School were charged with kept prohibited firearm, kept firearm without a gun license and kept ammunition without a gun license. These charges were for a S and W pistol, a point 38 revolver and 4 rounds of ammunition. Bail was denied and they were remanded until August 17. Police reports are that Palacio was shot in his head when two persons went to his house. According to reports, the assailants were looking for Rommel Palacio Jr and they shot his father when they could not find Jr.

Palacio Sr. is still on life support at the KHMH. His family told us, there hasn't been any improvement with his condition - where doctors say there is virtually no chance of survival.
