On Saturday, June 18th, 29 year old David Guerra, a resident of San Ignacio was stabbed to death while socializing at a local bar. We reported on the tragic incident and interviewed the brother of the victim, who told us that at the time of the stabbing the San Ignacio police were purposely slow in transporting the victim to the hospital for treatment.
The mother of his brother's girlfriend allegedly stabbed David Guerra. Ever since that fateful Saturday, the feuding families have been at it, levying a bevy of accusations against each other. The latest such accusation came today by the father of the victim, Juan Guerra who told us why two suspicious criminal complaints have landed his son Rodel Guerra in prison.

"This fight comes on the wake of my son. We had the wake of my son; Camala comes close to our house, about 100 yards, and start to shout to my family - straight to us- that there is 2 more left to kill. So when my son went to where he was, he ran away. We called the police; friends who were there called the police, and the police didn't respond. Now when this accusation came about, this disorderly conduct, the police was immediately at my house, finding my son, and the ex-husband of Mae Bush - that is right now a police - came out of the mobile and told us that he will arrest my son, and he will send him to Hattieville."

"Your son has been charged for wounding, Camal, the son of Mae West, how do you explain the reason for the police charging him for that incident."
Juan Guerra, Father of Rodel and David
"Well, charging him concerning to that incident, I cannot explain anything, because the police are just putting that to my son."
49 year old Mae Bush was arraigned on a single charge of murder in the death of Guerra and was remanded to prison. Inspector Mai, the Ag. Officer in Charge at the San Ignacio Police station, told 7 News that there exist cross complaints from both Guerra's son and the son of Mae Bush, and that contrary to what Guerra says, both men have been charged with disorderly conduct.
Mai says he has personally cautioned both families not to take the law into their own hands and to refrain from having any further contact until the matter is settled in court. Mai denies that the San Ignacio police are taking sides in the family dispute.
