Belizean businessman Rhett Fuller is in custody at the Colby Central Prison tonight after he turned himself into police this morning. Through prior arrangement by his attorney, shortly after 10, he went to the Queen Street police Station accompanied by his wife where he surrendered to be served with a warrant for his arrest and committal.

He had been on bail pending the hearing of his appeal by the Privvy Council. But that was dismissed - and with it, his bail. So, he's back in prison pending extradition. His attorney Eamon Courtenay hopes he won't be there for long. Courtenay told us that he will file an application for bail imminently and ask for an urgent hearing.

As has been widely reported, Fuller is wanted in the U.S. for first degree Murder in connection with the fatal shooting of an American National Larry Miller which occurred in 1990.
