Woman Remanded To Prison

A female was remanded to prison today after she could not meet her bail. She is 22 year old Kendra Hamilton, accused of burglary from her step-father in Hattieville.

The Dangriga resident appeared in the Magistrate's court today to answer to charges of burglary and damage to property. Her step father Christopher Petillo says that on august 17th, she entered his Hattieville home as a trespasser and stole several items while damaging a window and two padlocks.

She pleaded not guilty, but the prosecution objected to bail because she is already on bail for a similar offence. Magistrate Emmerson Banner did not uphold the objection and offered her bail of five thousand dollars. But she was unable to meet the bail and was taken to prison.
