31 year old Glen Jordan was accused of carrying a deadly weapon, a loaded.45 pistol and he was allegedly caught with it in the heart of the city.
But today in court, Jordan's attorney, Ellis Arnold submitted that there was no case to answer because of inconsistencies in the testimonies of two of the witnesses and Jordan was not in the vehicle when the police searched it and found the firearm and ammunition.
Magistrate Dorothy Flowers upheld the second ground of the no case submission and dismissed both charges kept firearm without a gun license and kept ammunition without a gun license.
The incident occurred on October 27, 2010. According to the evidence, the police searched a white Pathfinder that was parked in front of the Commercial Center and found one.45 pistol with 8 rounds of.45 calibre ammunition. At the time Jordan was standing on the pavement about 10 to 15 feet from the vehicle.
