Last night we told you about the hold-up of delivery men Gladwin Penner and Wayne HUMES at the Farm Center on North Front Street. Penner's gun was stolen by armed men.
Police responded immediately and the stolen Ruger brand 9 mm pistol with seventeen rounds of 9 ammunition was found concealed in a draw at a home on conch Shell Bay.
In all, seven persons were detained. Tonight, charges have been announced. Andrew Talbert, Ryan Arnold and Marvin McDonald, have been charged for Robbery and Handling Stolen Goods.
That's because the GSU also found Humes' and Penners' wallets in the pickup that was used during the robbery.
19 year olds Aliea AUGUSTOS, and Danika YOUNG, were charged for Kept Unlicensed Firearm, Kept Ammunition without a Gun License AND Handling Stolen Goods because the gun was found in the house they occupied.
Vanessa Green, Aliea Augustos, Danika Young, Mervin McDonald, Andrew Talbert and Baron Anderson were jointly charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking because half a kilo of marijuana was found in the yard of that house.
Police say Talbert and Macdonald are "affiliated with the George Street Gang."
