There is a very disturbing report in the Cayo Star newspaper of a man, 46 year old Nolbert Recinos caught in the act sodomizing a young male cow.
According to the STAR, at around 1:00 on Tuesday, 27 September, a security gaurd found a Recinos engaged in the act with his black and white male calf. The incident occurred as the cow was grazing in the back yard of the Adventist Church in Santa Elena Town. Police visited the area where the man was pointed out by the Security guard.
He was formally arrested and charged for committing an unnatural crime.
He appeared before Magistrate Dale Cayetano, on Friday, 30 September, where he told the court that he has no fixed address and that he knew neither his age nor his date of birth. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and, was offered bail of 2,000 dollars. He was unable to meet bail and was remanded to prison.
He is said to be no stranger to the court as, in the latter part of last year, he was arrested and charged for exposing his person in public. The magistrate, at that time, ordered a psychiatric evaluation which when received declared that the accused was fit to stand trial. He was subsequently found guilty of the charge and fined.
