And, another man who's been in and out of trouble with the law, was once again dragged before a judge today, after he was charged with handling stolen goods.
Twenty eight year old Ricky Valencia, a resident of 11 Queen Charlotte is accused of being in possession of a SIM card for a Blackberry cell phone that was stolen from Melanie Lopez. The incident which happened on October 18th, alleges that he dishonestly assisted in the retention of the SIM card.
Valencia pleaded not guilty to the charge, but the prosecution objected to bail on the grounds, that he is a repeat offender and is on bail for several offences that include the attempted murder of Rodwell Williams, robbery of the Heritage Bank in Orange Walk and handling stolen goods.
Magistrate Dorothy Flowers upheld the objection, and remanded Valencia into custody until November 23rd.
