He was caught red handed and Twenty four year old Cruz Allen, a laborer of #7 Water Lane, was charged with burglary and handling stolen goods when he appeared today in the Magistrate's court.

Allen pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecutor objected to bail on the ground that the defendant was caught in the act by the complainant, Daniel Fabro.

Because Allen has a conviction for handling stolen goods, Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith upheld the objection and denied Allen bail. She remanded him into custody until December.

The incident occurred around 6a.m. on Thursday, October 27. Fabro, the owner of Fabro's Glass Limited, located on Victoria Street, reported to the police that he found Allen inside and detained him.

The stolen items, reported the police, were found outside of the building. They included one 19 inch Emmerson television, one JVC stereo, one Olympus digital camera and one pair of tennis shoes.
