Last night we told you about 17 year old Wesley High third former, Lamar Mortis who was stabbed in the chest by a fourth form student. Morris was seriously injured but has been released from the hospital.

Tonight there is another disturbing story about a school stabbing; and it's possible that this story is even more troubling because it happened in a primary school.

Monica Bodden responded to the scene at Queen Square Anglican on Dolphin street:..

Monica Bodden reporting
The students of Queen Square Anglican School were dismissed earlier than usual today - after a standard 6 student - stabbed another in the chest area.

The incident happened during lunch break.

According to eyewitnesses it took place on this basketball court in the school's compound - while they were playing a game of basketball.

What happened on this court is still uncertain - but what we know is -11 year old Ryan Timmons- had to be rushed to the hospital.

Marion Ali, reporter
"You saw when the child came out?"

Vendor

"Only that we saw, we saw him come out holding his side and they put him into a car and left with him, and that was all."

Marion Ali, reporter
"Ok, what time was this? Was there any kind of a chaos on the ground or such that you could have seen?"

Vendor
"No ma'am nothing."

Monica Bodden
"Who took the child to the hospital? Did the police arrived by that time?"

Vendor
"It was a teacher that took him in a car."

And even though we don't know exactly what caused this student to stab the other...

This one standard 6 student who was on the ball court at the time gave us his account - we spoke to the child off-camera:

Student
"Well we were playing basketball, and the little boy was angry because he was fouled and he just punched him in his face and the other one took out a knife and stabbed him right under his heart. And they started to fight again, he was trying to stabbing him and missed but then he managed to stab him again."

According to the student, the dispute begun over a game of basketball. The victim fired a punch at the accused - who then in turn stabbed him in his right ribcage.

Student
"I don't really like it because, it make us get into trouble, because they will have bags search at our school now every minute now. Every minute they will have a bag search."

Marion Ali
"But that's for you own safety. Do they do this often?"

Student
"No, only yesterday they did it."

We understand a bag search was held at the school yesterday less than 24 hours before the incident happened.

Student
"A lot of people saw the knife, but they didn't tell on him because they were afraid of him."

Vendor
"This man son is a quite child, that all I know."

We tried to get a comment form the principal but we were told that she was in a meeting with police. Police say the victim was stabbed to the rib cage area and upper stomach.
