ACCIDENT....

There's been a fatal accident at mile 27 on the western Highway.

Details so far tell us that there was a collision between a bus and Toyota Hilux pickup.

According to reports, the Hilux was literally smashed and the driver - a male government employee - is dead. We cannot release his name yet, as we could not confirm if family has been informed.

Mile 27 is a straightaway but is very slippery when wet - and is one of the deadliest stretches of road on the Western highway.
