A 2-year-old died over the weekend in the Toledo District after he fell into his family's pit latrine.
The cops say that at around midday on Sunday, January 10th, PG police responded to a report in San Miguel Village. When they arrived they found the motionless body of a baby, identified as 2-year-old Leroy Choc. The family of 5 reports that they were all in the kitchen when one of the elder children saw a small animal inside another house in the same yard. They went to investigate, and during that time, Baby Leroy was left unattended in the yard. Sometime later, they realized that he was missing, and that's when they started to look for him. A thorough search led to the discovery of his body floating face-down in a hole that was dug as a toilet pit. They immediately removed him and tried to revive him, but he was already dead.
No one has been charged.
