The Government of Belize is announcing that if you live in Dangriga Town or the surrounding communities, and you need to visit the Lands Department for some urgent matter, you'll be able to find them at the Dangriga Town Council tomorrow.

It's part of the Ministry's mobile service regime, where they visit the customers in remote areas, instead of the customer having to travel all the way to Belmopan for service. This practice started under the leadership of former Natural Resources Minister Hugo Patt, and the new Minister, Cordel Hyde, has publicly declared that he will continue with it.

During last Friday's House Meeting, after his detailed presentation on alleged land grabbing under the Barrow Administration, Deputy Prime Minister Hyde had this to say about bringing service to Belizeans in remote parts of the country:

Hon. Cordel Hyde - Minister of Natural Resources
"I promise that I will be taking the Lands Department to the people, and I will. Everybody need not come to Belmopan to be served. Next week, I will be in Dangriga on Thursday, to attend to the land needs of the people in that municipality. And I'll be going to every district town thereafter."

A government press release says that the Deputy PM will host this mobile land outreach at the Dangriga Town Council's headquarters, in their Council Chamber.
